Too many people have had prayers answered in ways which can only be from God.

I just wish more people would take the Christian faith seriously - after all they will not be accepted come the end.

OK, I can see that people are not happy with the word "know". All I would say is that I know because of what he has done for me and countless others- therefore I believe.

For those who say they will not care come the end, be assured they will.

God id all accepting so long as we repent and accept him as Lord of our lives. He died in agony on that cross for you and me - how can I ignore that?

Yeah, and I know he doesn't, that's the problem really, isn't it?

Sorry, why can the 'answers' only come from a higher power?

Random chance, and a positive outlook can achieve far more than betting on the maybe's of a higher power, which may, or may not even exist.

I think you should more acurately say that you believe what you are told, fitted in with things that you want to believe are from your god that your religion has taught you exists isn't it?

After all, if you had never been exposed to the religious docterine you've read the book of, what would you believe in instead, still seeing whatever you consider to be your higher power at work?

You speak like you have a basis in fact, whereas your belief is just that, belief, and requires no fact based on actual proof, you conjour it up as you go along, using arguments based upon re-interpreted arguments.

Why should more people take the Chrisitan fath more seriously? It only seems to dish out bigotry and hatred, and (along with other ideals based upon dieties) has been responsible for more wars and deaths than pretty much anything else in our entire history, including natural disasters like the black death and all.

So after this, and seeing bigotry exercised by the Christian faith, every day, why should people find it anything other than they already do, with preists practacing acts of paedophelia and such, it just seems to be more of a joke as time goes by when seen in this context, as in, one that is seen daily on the screen, and in the news papers, and by some, in real life.

As the simplest thing, just walk down the highstreet holding your same sex partners hand and feel the bigotry, and when you end up in hospital as someone lets their 'right thinking, Christian faith' guide their boot, then tell the person in the hospital bed they are evil for only feeling love for another human being.

You don't know there is one at all! You BELIEVE there is one and thats fine you should be proud of your faith! However, you will never know there is one until you meet him and many people today would not expect to be meeting him and so do not believe in him.

Many people feel that life is the be all and end all and there is nothing after and you will not be judged by God or anyone else when you die! If they are wrong then that is for them to face the consequences at the time! If however you are wrong then those same people would say you have wasted your life with your faith! However, at the end of the day, it is your faith and if you believe God exists and that you should behave in a certain way to allow your soul to be accepted into heaven then you go for it! However, there are always going to be people who disagree and like i say, its there choice and if they all end up in hell when they die then you can go and say i told you so but until then, i'm afraid that you won't be able to convince everyone!

You cannot know something until you learn it for yourself! You may think you know something because that is what you have been taught, but you only know that thats what you've been taught you don't know that its true! The person who taught you doesn't know its true! Everything starts somewhere and its all just man made!

That said, no one knows anything for sure! Everyone "knows" that one plus one make two! However, who decided that in the first place and why?

It may well be that you are right and that by following the faith you will be accepted into heaven. However, many people including myself, do not have this kind of faith in the unknown and will have to wait and see and accept the consequences of our lack of faith if the time ever comes!

How can you say God exist or doesn't exist, you will never be able to prove the fact. Why do you want more people to take Christian seriously, there are many religions out there why should we be become a Christian.

The way you have written the question i believe that you feel that your religion is the right one, it may not. i am a member of the Church of England but i would never push my opinion on to any one. There are so many people in this world that believe simply that you are born you live and then you die. how can you write that people will not be accepted in the end cos you don't know.
and you won't until the end.

What about all the other people who's prayers were never answered by God, do you have an answer for them?? Are you suggesting that more prayers are answered 'which can only be from God' than any other source?? I would like to know how you explain WHY God did not answer the other peoples' prayers, is there some kind of 'means test' that he does before hand??!!

And when is 'the end' exactly, please do tell - I wont hold my breath 'cus I know you can only 'guess' at it, and with no proof you try and tell everyone that you're right.

The truth of the matter is that we can all believe in who/what we like. You obviously have your own faith and that's fine. Others have theirs and that's fine too.

I believe in God, for want of a better word, not as a person or an entity but as an all powerful force that controls the universe ... be that God or the laws of physics.

Wishing more people would share your faith and take it seriously is fine. I don't like the 'tone' of your last sentence though to be honest with you ... they will not be accepted come the end?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't God supposed to be an all loving God? And I know "All who believe in me shall not perish but have everlasting life." but wasn't that Jesus who said that? I'm sure God never did. He loves everyone equally so at the end of the day, be happy in your beliefs and your faith and be equally happy that other people have theirs and that not everyone will share yours. That's life and after all's said and done, variety is the spice of life, huh? :D

Take care and may your God go with you. :)

It's a shame that people don't know who God is. They will someday and you and I both know this. Because we know God. I'm so thankfull for this knowledge and the fact that I fear my Lord. Because one day people will have to accept him or they will beg for Mountains to fall upon them. So you see I will see you in heaven and for the non believers they will also have another chance to know who God is. God will give them a chance I do think and then if they still refuse to belive they will be destroyed like in Noah's Time, When Noah was instrucked by God to built an Ark and people laughed at him, mocked him. They sure wasn't laughing when the rain came down. They was beating on Noah's door of the ark to get in before they drowned. And they did Drown. They died because they had no Faith and they did not believe in God. Look at Moses. He was in the Desert 40 years with those people, going no where, because they did not believe. Most of those people died and thier childrens ,Children died also. I don't know how someone can not Know Jesus? It's a Shame. I agree! God Bless You!

I’m just like those who only believe in things scientifically proven. However, I believe in God.

If you told me that you got a headache, I believe you, not because I see the pain, but because a doctor told me that s/he sees the signs.

God sent many prophets, to name some: Adams, Noah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. All of them told us about the same God and God gave them miracles as a sign that they were honest.

Jesus could give health to those who was to die while his people were good at medicine. Moses had been given a stick which turns into real snack eat all other witches work.

Muhammad has been given the Qur’an which remains to date the last sign to prove the existence of God.

Moreover, the world is so balanced and in mathematics coincidences or randomness can never create well designed and balanced system.

What a banal argument.

1) You KNOW God exists? - Don't be silly.

2) People's prayers answered in a way that can only be God? - You have research results which have thoroughly investigated every other possibility in an infinite universe, thereby ruling them ut and unequivocably proving the work of a divine hand? Please show me.

3) You wish people would take the Christian faith more seriously? - What, based on the presentation of your thoughts? (Heathen laughter).

4) Exsistence of God = Christian? - So you're quite happy to reject, without investigation or discussion, the doctrines of every other religion as heretical nonsense, but are certain that yours is beyond question?

5) "they will not be accepted come the end." - Name an atheist who wants to go to heaven and be accepted by God... and what happened to forgiveness, Christ dying for the sins of man so that he may pass into the kingdom of heaven... surely the muslims, sikhs, buddhists, Jews etc. are equally certain of their place in eternal afterlife with their God.... you can't all be right - or can you?

As long as you believe and I do not, we will not reach an agreement. I however, do not concern myself with trying to force you to take my belief and am open minded to the possibility that I may be wrong. I simply seek to only be sure of that which can be proved. Through my sensory perceptions, there is no evidence to suggest the existence of God, therefore I assume a lack of God. I may be incorrect, but at least I can support my opinion with all the available tangible evidence.

There is no way of knowing one way or another. You dont know- you believe. And that's no more or less legit then believing it's not true.

I think too many people's prayer have NOT been answered. Thats one reason I don't believe.

Anyway not everybody's mind will allow them to believe in God and religion because of their life experiences and the way they think and process information. It's not something you can just decide on. I could go to church every day, and completely immerse myself in it, but I will never believe it. It's not an action I can take or not take- therefore I don't see how I could be judged for it.

You're convinced by the evidence, other people aren't.
Is there really anything that we can conclusively prove? Obviously some things are more widely accepted than others, but you're fighting a losing battle if you can't accept that the evidence regarding the existence or otherwise of a god is far too ambiguous to sway everybody.
