Impotence is defined as the inability to get an erection or maintain it long enough for intercourse. Since many are uncomfortable with the term or embarrassed by it, or think it only means not being able to get an erection at all, the term "erectile dysfunction" is becoming common.

You can get more information at:
www.impotence.org . This website is sponsored by the American Urological Society and is for patients and family members.

From my own experience, this could be. but they are other factors/most men when but under pressure this will happen, but that part phsyicologically will make this occur. A lot depends upon his age, maybe he has an enlarged prostate blocking his blood flow. Try not to make a big deal over it, it know, it can be very frustrating for you but it ten times more for him. Suggest you both go see an urologist or GP there are some wonderful drugs on the market which can enhance your sex life. I KNOW Like I said it may be a physical or mental problem..GOOD LUCK TO YOU BOTH...

Boys are taken as babies (just like puppies) and "fixed" so that male tendencies and sexual aggression is reduced. In adult life this leads to erectile dysfunction and impotence, which we as a society then label as "problems". However, men who were not fixed as babies never have this problem--they can go at it like the energizer bunny over and over again, and I guess it's up to society to determine which trait is best in males, aggression and lots of sex drive, or docile even temprement and impotence.
