I understand what they are saying, however, I think that the way they say it to the public is not correct. Adam and Eve sinned, God basically said Because of sin you will suffer for it. You chose to choose wrong, and you will now have to work, Adam, Eve will have to bear children in pain. As life went on, sin got worse, and is still getting worse. Basically we reap what we sow. Because of SIN IN GENERAL bad things happen. But it doesn't mean God is punishing a certain group or certain sin. It just an overall understanding that because of sin and badness, the bad people make bad things happen. And sometimes the good get hurt in the process. I hope that i got that across right. LOL

Any Christian will tell you exactly the same thing.....this is not a "Catholic" belief.
By the way I'm a non-believer but one with some knowledge about religions.
