Do we need to take Java/J2EE certifications for Good JOBS in the future ???

I am doing my diploma in Bangalore(India.Presently I have taken my domain Language as J2EE .After 2 months the PLACEMENT will be started .So if i ' m sun Certified , will it be a worth for me in the future career ? Plz Answer
