I was under the impression that the 'A' and 'B' samples were taken at the same time, and that it was virtually impossible for them to be different?

It is rare, butthis isn't the first time it has happened. That is WHY they take two samples, so that when 'A' tests postive then 'B' ccan prove it. Another thing is that the athelete usually picks where 'B' is tested, proably a list already in place but their pick, so it is more unbiased. In other words sometimes the lab messes up and it is tested at another lab.

are you in the navy? no all drug samples will come back the same depending on how long they where taking. 1 inch of your hair represents a month in drug testing world.

Might be a slight difference, but nothing significant. Machines do go out of calibration.
