Yes, it is. Though honesty is the best policy, it doesn't hold good always.
For example: someone who serves the humanity is in danger of being attacked by terrorists, and you know the place where the person is. To remain honest, if you show the person's place to terrorists then you are the killer and not the terrorists.
At that time you need not be honest to tell teh truth..
So honesty can be dangerous at some places

Honesty receives attention, dependability and respect from the known circle of friends, colleagues and relatives.
Of course, an honest man/woman would be a sharp fine bone that gets stuck in the throat to a dishonest fellow. No human is dangerous in this world unless s/he is criminal minded or dishonest.
To protect his dishonest propeity, s/he may endanger other honest lovers by his/her menial activities.
Dishonesty is always conquered by the honesty always!!

yup--i could do a lot of harm leading a therapy group if i didn't keep my opinions to myself...and i'm very opinionated and have had to walk away for wanting to be honest instead of accepting. so i shall let it out here:
you are not cool or in any way special because you are mentally ill, or have a disorder, or an addiction--you are sick. known in some circles as a loser. you deserve consideration, not special favors from life. you are no different and unique than every other different and unique person out there--or in here. quit using it as an excuse for everything in life. quit feeling sorry for yourself and pointing the blame at others, because half the staff have had it worse. we are here because we knew how to cope. you are here because you can't and i am sick and tired of you not trying to learn. it may not be easy to learn, but it isn't easy for anyone--you're not special. life will never be smooth sailing, grasp that idea. do you think i like knowing you took that welfare check--my taxes--and spent it on partying, then want pity from me because you have none left for food? i'm willing to help, but all you out there--especially the kids/teens who don't realize hey--you've been branded for life and statistcs show you'll be right back in here later--who make no effort to better yourselves....you not only waste my time but the time of those who want help. this isn't a vacation from life--it *is* life. step up to the plate already. for the kids/teens: guess what, you are acting just like every other person who has been a teen. and you will grow up someday, and look at yourself and see that yeah, it wasn't just people not understanding you, you really did act the fool. ask any grown-up about the stupid things they did as a kid they regret...all will have something they remember. and you now will have health problems to mess up your entire life because of the drinking/cigs/drugs that you used to cope and try to be cool, saying "who cares? i'm not hurting anyone!" (excepting my wallet when you are treated for problems from it!)..which will give you more stress when it hits, and since ya didn't learn to cope to begin with...vicious cycle, my friend. see you next time you're admitted! next!
thanks--i feel better!

Some may say that. I'm brutally honest when I should be more of the "sugar coat it" honest. Then I hurt peoples feelings, but why just graze over the honest truth?

I think I have a flame thrower for a mouth at times. If I tried to subdue my honest thoughts I would be likely to spontaneously combust.
Better out than in...

No I am not THAT honest. I am borderline though. I think being that honest would be a pretty lonely place to be. Not too many who could handle it.

Here on the internet? Yes, I am too honest about myself, and I sometimes fear that I give people too much information.
