There we go again, generalizing. Maybe its the younger generations that get over excited. I can say that my friends and I certainly do not. What is it that you see Americans get so excited about? Are you seeing it first hand or just believing the Media?

Maybe its the caffeine?
Or maybe that by contrast UK people (English particularly) tend to be so restrained. (Unless of course they are at Alicante airport containing several pints of wife beater lager.)
Its quite endearing really. (the enthusiastic Americans not the stag do Brits)

This saying comes to mind:
"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers"
They're on a power high - look at Bush!
Their culture is based on sensationalism - after all, they are the nation that popularised the soap opera and the tabloid!

Why do English people have such bad teeth and the men are all lousy lovers?
You really shouldn't generalize. It's not nice.

They probably don't, but for us introvert Brits, their slightly more open reactions seem like "over-excitement".
