I was in my apartment alone in Atlanta, GA (I had recently relocated from NYC). My friend, Jen, called me and said "do you know a plane just crashed into the world trade center?" I thought she was nuts and just didnt know what she was talking about. I went and turned on the TV and sure enough there it was. By the time I turned the TV on, the second plane had already hit. I fell on the floor and began sobbing. I was so overwhelmed seeing that happen in my home town. Not to mention, I was so fearful for my relatives & friends, especially my father, who was down at the court house (which is accross the street from the towers). I repeatedly tried to get in touch with him, but it was busy. Finally, I got a call from him - he said "I'm okay. I was there. I am walking back to my office (which was miles away), I gotta call my brother" and that was it, he hung up. I was relieved that he was safe, but still overwhelmed by all that was going on. I repeatedly tried to call my boyfriend, but there was no answer (he was in GA). Finally, I got in touch with him - he had no clue what was happening. We spent the rest of the morning on the phone watching the television, while I cried. One of the saddest days of my life.

There had been four planes; 2 crashed into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one crashed in a discipline after passengers took manage from the hijackers, quite often saving many lives. Early studies instructed that five planes could were hijacked, however the 5th aircraft grew to become up riskless.

I was a teacher's assistant in a grade 9 special education class on that morning. Everything went crazy and all the school's televisions were turned on to watch the news. The whole school of kids saw the second plane hit the WTC - I regret that they did see it.

I was at home. Stoned watching the late news (Australia) boyfriend next to me asleep. it was about 10.45pm. Then the reporter said 'Now to some Breaking News.' & the live picture came up on t.v. I couldnt believe what i was seeing! I didnt even know what the world trade centre was or even what a terrorist was. So i didnt suspect that this was on purpose. But i kept thinking how could they crash into a building by accident? Then i saw live on t.v the next plane hitting the other building & i just couldnt believe it. i thought who on earth would do something like this. i didnt know there were people on this earth that could have so much hate. The reporter was in shock & didnt know what to say. she just kept saying 'oh dear, oh dear' you could see she was really emotional. i just kept saying oh my god, oh my god!!! i just never thought anyone would do somthing like that. Especially in the united states. I guess i was very naive!

I was driving avan for a childcare center and 8 year old daughter was in school. I heard it on the radio and I was heading back into the daycare where it was all over the TV. I just wanted to go and get my daughter from school. But I held myself from doing that. I'm sure many felt the same way.
