If you are in a transferable job, as you seem to be, CBSE is better for your child than ICSE, which is more suitable for people who have stability within the State or region. CBSE is broad based, general education is good , though some people are of the view that CBSE needs to be supplemented with private tutoring for 'confidence building' and 'smarter' personality development thro' better communication. But go for CBSE, you won't be disappointed, in the long run.

if u have to move at different locations then u must choose CBSE as ICSE is not available in all the parts of india is available then thjere r only 1 or 2 schools in the city.

but one thing must be kept in mind that the subjects of regional language like "punjabi" gujrati" "begali" etc must be avoided as they may create problem at the 10 & 12 level.

Level of ICSE board is higher & Tough also than CBSE.

ICSE is the main suitable for IIT-JEE. The course orientation, problem fixing physique of recommendations, development of questions, all prepare you computerized for IIT JEE. As area of the IIT team, my journey is that almost 25% of selectees are from ICSE board- (however in basic terms approximately 2% of competing pupils belong to ICSE) yet another 25% from CBSE board (10% competing) something being made out of State boards etal.

If you are on a transferable GOI job, then you have no other option but to go for CBSE. You may not get ICSE affiliated schools in some states.

as i m a student of CBSE board i wud definetly suggest CBSE 'cause...i hv a frnd who has migrated from ICSE board..who tells me that they ppl simply drain the lives out of the child...they were trained to write more in few time..they had to solve comparitively lengthy paper in just 2hrs or smthin.and comin to CBSE it is known for reducin syllabus every next session...so for ur kid it might be a cake - walk not really though bt still.....i don't think there is any problem!!

if you are putting up in a low grade city and your child doesnt have any means to enhance english then go for icse else cbse moreover icse tends to work for the betterment of brain also in programming icse lays more stress in computer subject.
