the college store didn't have enough books and software for some of us now shes getting way ahead.....HELP

Take down notes, won't that help? Have a chat with the Prof., request the Prof to revise lessons covered so far, while the books and software are awaited. You could bring up this in the Review meetings you have with tutors or co-ordinators.

Welcome to the wonderful world of college. You're going to run into this a lot. Now's a great time to form a study group with those who do have the books. Learning to take good notes will also assist you. Purchasing a small cassette recorder will also assist you in listening to the lectures again.
