The capital and largest city of Sri Lanka, on the western coast of the island on the Indian Ocean. The city was probably known to Greco-Roman, Arab, and Chinese traders more than 2,000 years ago. It became capital of the crown colony of Ceylon in 1802 and of independent Ceylon in 1948. Population: 642,000.

The capital of srilanka is ma home town...thats..

"SRI JAYAWARDENAPURA KOTTE" this is the place ull find in a common windows XP installation region.....

This is in the "COLOMBO" district...plus for colombo district there are sub regions such as "COLOMBO 1, COLOMBO 2 ETC.."...

To add more it says that this Colombo was regarded as the commercial capital of srilanka...actually colombo was founded by colonial settlers and was considered as the capital city untill 1970`s...
