You have asked an intelligent question. The mere asking this questions tells that you are an honest and caring fellow. You have a good heart that thinks for others too. The question is very difficult. It will take sometime for you to judge. You can come to know that the other person is sensitive, (1) if you tell him or her mistakes. They will get hurt and become sad. All of us like to have regards and respect but no one likes comments even if they are for their improvement. (2) Such person feels much uneasy if he/she had to wait for a long period. (3) He/She gets hurt if you sharply deny them anything. (4) He/She will ask for any favor no matter how small or petty it may be, with a lot of compulsion inside (5) He/She gets much happy if you congratulate them or birthday or wish them time and again. Such fellow feels responsibility and likes to be loved. Your question is of psychology area. It needs a lot of study because human behavior is different from man to man.

Sensitive people usually get offended easily, they tend to take a defensive approach to things, may get emotional over the slightest provocations and may not find jokes in good taste specially if they are the object!

Over sensitive people tend to get offended easily. They cry over simple things. They worry a lot and are constantly thinking about upcoming events or situations.
