Ok, I used to have such nice curly hair before I got pregnant. Now, I'm 6 months along, and my hair won't do a darn thing! It just hangs there, looking limp and terrible!! Is there anything that I can do? I've tried serums, leave in conditioners...it just frizzy now, not much body or curl. Will this go away after the baby is born?
I know, I'm technically asking 2 questions...lol Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!! = )

Urban Cowboy...I AM more concerned with my baby than my hair. I have a highly educated medical doctor to steer me in the right direction when it comes to the well being of my baby. But just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean that I have to stop worrying about what I look like. I DO have a husband that I enjoy looking attractive for, and quite frankly it's more about how I feel about myself. If wanting nice hair while I'm pregnant makes me a bad mom in your eyes, that's just tough luck, isn't it? Thanks.

Part of the problem is that when you are pregnant, your hair isn't shedding. Normally we lose quite a bit of hair each day, our hair is naturally renewing itself. This process stops when you are pregnant, so right now your hair isn't renewing itself. Some people are so lucky and get long luxuriant hair when they are pregnant, others aren't so lucky. I would try not to use too many products right now, too many products will make the problem worse. Just use a shampoo and conditioner for your hair type, (dry, normal, oily), and then follow with some mousse. Use a big amount of mousse, I like Finesse touchables mousse. Hopefully this works for you. It might help to get some layers cut into your hair also. And it's perfectly fine for you to worry about your hair, of course your main concern is the baby, but it feels good to look good while pregnant too! Oh, and be prepared for the amount of hair you will lose after the baby is born, your hair will make up for lost time in it's shedding process, it will seem like a lot, but it's okay, you won't go bald. After that process is done, your hair should go back to what it was pre-pregnancy.

Well, I had straight hair before baby number one. Now it is curly. With baby number two it is frizzy and falling out. Its all about the hormones. I started using a Thermosilk anti frizzy lotion and it seems to be helping.
Try some of that curl shampoo, gel and a diffuser. Most likely it will just drive you nuts until your hormones get back to normal after baby.

Your hair should go back to normal after the baby is born and the hormones have had a chance to settle down - for me it's the only thing that returned to it's pre-pregnancy state!!! Seriously though, you may feel like you're losing lots of hair after the baby is born but this is normal and it should return to normal after a few months.

Getting really good regular treatments at your hairdressers is a really good idea for your hairs condition...
Also, if it's not going to stick to a nice curl, you could always invest in this event and grab yourself a hair straightener!
You can have nice, sleek straight hair for a few months :)

It beats me how somebody who thinks they're waiting to have intercourse isn't able to having a serious communicate with their mum and dad. there is not any longer a perfect way. babies shouldn't _need_ to tell their mum and dad they're pregnant, with the aid of fact they should have extra sense than to get pregnant interior the frist place.

I am 21 weeks, and my hair has decided to finally grow for once. But the texture of my hair has changed. My hair seems really dry even if I condition it. But coloring it makes it look and feel better. Not bleach, just color. Congratulations..
By the way those hair straightners someone mentioned earlier do work wonders!!
