I've found lots of free patterns online at the websites of the companies that make yarn. If you have a skein of yarn handy, check the label for a website address. There are usually patterns available on the back of the labels too.

about.com, drops.com, and type in baby clothes to crochet and see what ya get. LOTS of them online!!! you might try Michael's.com, patternccentral.com,and take it from there...
