Don't they like peace?

Why do they choose to torment other people, again and again, instead of taking care of their own lives?

Thank you for your anwer and have a wonderful week! :)

Yes, I know I'm repeting myself! But it's despairing to wake up thinking you'll (finally!) find "peace on earth" and, instead of this, find yet another provokation...

And more...Will this ever end??!!

I'm forced to ask, again: Why can't people just live their lives and let others live, in peace??!!

Some people have never known the joy of living in harmony with those around them.

They are usually quite insecure in themselves and use provocation as a bully tactic. Bullies pick on people to boost their own sense of power. Because of their insecurity they search out the quickest route to appear strong. What they don't realise is that it is a false power and very base. They also provoke people who they know will not rise to the challenge, that way - they win every time (in their own minds).

It sort of reverts back to our pre-historic ancestry. Their minds cannot rise above the 'fight or flight' response to social interaction. They perceive everyone as a threat to their self-esteem and by provoking a person, they feel strong.

It's quite sad that their ability to communicate and socialise have not evolved further than an animal. Probably a genetic deficiency. Or even more realistically, there was neglect or abuse in their childhood home.

"Gosh Moonriver, you asked about provoking and then tormenting. You write like torment is your actual question because provoke and torment are not the same thing.
I enjoy provoking others with thoughtful and insightful questions and answers; however, I would not care to torment them for any reason except to save my life or others of like kind.
Religion appears to be a good reason to torment others. Take Islam, for example, Their prophet asks them to use the sword to convert others to their faith and the're doing just that. They're scary to me.
I could think of many others, in other religions and things of that nature to answer your question. I've never noticed anything from relatives, friends and/or acquaintances which has served to torment anyone for any reason.
President Bush is tormented 24/7, although he has saved us from terror, for the time being. All liberals are turning torment into the direction of conservatives, no matter what the reason, but, I'm not claiming to fight for anyone, except my Country, family, friends and acquaintances. Of course, that admission kinda brands me, but, its' the truth!
Oh, by the way, you too have a great week!"

Yes, passive-aggressive . Not to pay attention, at all costs.
They have some very bad habbits: possesive, do a lot of things to catch attention, imagine schemes in which all the people & things must match - otherwise they become aggressive in what they think, say and do. Also they hate without a very clear address. They just hate...And they like to revenge for various small, big or huge reasons , but against friends or benign people.

They argue so much in their heads and think so much
that they forget which one is real and which was only in their minds. They often have problems to cure but prefer to hurt the others to compensate.
They do really have a problem and don't ask for help.
They provoke the others because they argue too much
with God untill they become unconfortable.

Because they are overwhelmed by their own fears and problems and they feel better when the put others in the same state they are in! They need help but they can't figure out how to get it. Some feel they will be known to be weak or failure if they ask for help, thus decide to torment others. Some think it is someone to blame for the situations they are in. Some know nothing about the situations they are in. Some think it is good to torment others since they too have been tormented. The best thing to do, is to report their actions to someone responsible! It is not wise to alert them that they are going to be reported as it may cause them to do much harm.

Maybe they're just trying to relieve their own resentment and pain, by spreading it like flu. It doesn't work, though. Some people tend to be like that when they're stressed.

like so many other things, this is also not in ur hand to change the habit of a narcissist and why to give attention to them. the best way to tackle them r just to avoid them.

They like to play God and pretend you are their puppet.
I had a boss like that. Even when I left his department he convinced my new boss to have me spend every afternoon there for the better part of two months. It's a power trip.
