I was serving breakfast at a restaurant, when my husband called and told me about the first plane. He called immeadiately back and told us about the second. I called my boss at home and asked him if he cared if we put the radio on the news because something terrible was going on that we all needed to know about. I spent the rest of my shift crying and wondering how people could come in and eat freaking pancakes when the world as we knew it was changing. I still wonder how those people felt as they were sipping their coffee like nothing was wrong.

I was at home. Stoned watching the late news (Australia) boyfriend next to me asleep. it was about 10.45pm. Then the reporter said 'Now to some Breaking News.' & the live picture came up on t.v. I couldnt believe what i was seeing! I didnt even know what the world trade centre was or even what a terrorist was. So i didnt suspect that this was on purpose. But i kept thinking how could they crash into a building by accident? Then i saw live on t.v the next plane hitting the other building & i just couldnt believe it. i thought who on earth would do something like this. i didnt know there were people on this earth that could have so much hate. The reporter was in shock & didnt know what to say. she just kept saying 'oh dear, oh dear' you could see she was really emotional. i just kept saying oh my god, oh my god!!! i just never thought anyone would do somthing like that. Especially in the united states. I guess i was very naive!
