I have allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneeezing etc. So I took some local medicine ( Ayurvedic medicine) which is common in our region india , Srilanka. In that they give medicinal herbs and parts like bark of such trees where you have to boil them together well and drink .

When I was taking this medicine some allergy symptoms appeared that is patches ( not colour patches ) with swellings.
Though I discontinued the medicine immediately, I still get that symptoms few times a day. Patches subsides after some time ( less than 1 hour). Can any body advise me on this?

It could be an allergy to soap, shampoo, foods, or just about anything including the medication you were taking. Best thing to do is go to doctor for an allergy test. They can tell you what you should be avoiding.

You could have an allergy to a preservative in the medicine (some which can occur naturally). Also the type of allergies you speak of sounds like 'hayfever' which is brought on by plant pollen and spores. If you are then drinking boiled parts of plants you could still be injesting the thing that you are allergic too (even though other parts of the medicine are helping). I recommend having some allergy tests to find out exactly what it is that sets off your allergies - then you can decide what is the best medicine to take.

i think the symptoms that you experienced is due to the medicinal plants that you boil and drank. Your body reacted to the medicinal plants. You better go to your physician to ask for a better advice and what you should do

You could be allergic to one of the ingredients. See an allergist to find out.
