The Berts formed back in late 1989, band members include Paul Martin (vocals), Mark Hogan (bass), Pascal Smith (guitar), Derek Heather(drums). They supported The Cranberries, The Stranglers. The Berts won the Three Counties Battle of the Bands 1993 and had major record label interest, from Chrysalis, EMI etc. but were never signed due to The Berts splitting up in 1994.
The Berts reformed late last year (2005) with new guitarist Pascal Smith (ex The Samples) currently rehearsing in studios, the set list includes new songs & old favourites including "Grab a Bag (& Party)", "Mushroom Wedding", "Shy" etc. Check out www.myspace.com/thebertsuk
