I like tracking the UN Development Index, since Canada has the best track record and I'm Canadian. Poor countries like the Phils don't have a prayer of scoring well, because they just don't have the resources. This doesn't mean they are not sincerely trying to better their people. For instance, due to the English language, the Philippines enjoys much better education than many of its SE Asian neighbours like Indonesia. This enables Filipinos to get much better expatriate jobs in the Middle East, for example, while Indonesians, Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans work as drivers and maids.

The last time the HR Index was tracked for the Phils was 2003 and the ranking was 84th. You can find the history of the rankings on the attached link.

philipines is not that much great country but i will say u that philipines human development have been incereased very much.its economy its also very good because it provides a high number ofrubber and i think so due to its weather also the economy is also increased...
