a little better. Besides religion. what else does he enjoy. Look around his house/ room for ideas. Name a star after him. Find out what big event is coming up at his church and sign up for it. Or maybe there is a religious music group coming to town, buy tickets. I feel you want to give him something more personal this year. find something that you both can enjoy as a couple. plan an hiking trip with a picnic for two. Or plan a party with his closes friends or put together a basket with everything from snacks, books, cds/ a picture of you or the two of you lots of little thingsm i hope this help a little bit

Why not create a memory book about the two of you, your relationship. Include photos, poems, love letters, etc.

If you know a good place that does calligraphy you could get his name and the meaning on some parchment and frame it. I always say art is a good gift to someone who is hard to shop for.

Take him out to dinner at his favorite restaurant, no gift is more precious to him than your time and attention.
