Why do Muslims want to kill Americans?

I am a Christian, and I believe that I do not have the right to tell anyone what they have to believe. The Muslims think that anyone who is not Muslim is doomed. The terrorists are Muslims and in a country that is Muslim. Why is it then their main goal seems to be to kill Americans? Could it be we have more then they do or what, I do not get it????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Trashley, I am many things, but a terrorist is not one of them, and I know that there are many differant cultures that have terrorists. The muslims seem to target only Americans. I did not mean to say all muslims. I know that their religen teaches peice and
such, the other terrorist groups do not target just Americans though, and this muslim group of terrorists seem to hate Americans most of all~!!!!

rohit, Just_curious, In reading my own question, I can see that it would seem that I am trying to make more hate or create hate as it were. I am not, but I want to understand why 9-11 happened. Why do the muslim terrorist mainly target Americans? I know some of it is because of Iraq, and Iran will come into play as well, but before the war, infact befor world war one, they seemed to target Americans. I know that not all muslims are terrorists, but I still seek a tru answer to my question.

Not all muslims think the same thing in the same way that not all christians agree with each other.
Lots of people in the USA are muslims. The USA is not a country of christians only.
There have been terrorists of all religions - anyone heard of the protestant Ulster Volunteer force and the Catholic IRA?

Saying that you are a Christian gives different meanings for different people, for example: I know someone who does not want to claim Christianity because they were exposed to hypocritical Christians who were judgmental and rude at a church where this person and friends of this person were attending. Things got so bad they made up things to lie about the youth group leader until they ran him and his wife out of the church. Guess what...ALL of the youth left the church as well and they were devastated and betrayed by the elders. That was 10 years ago, NONE of the kids (Twenty somethings) are currently going to church that I know of. I tried to recruit two young ladies (teens) to the choir of the church I was regularly attending. The Director said they would have to prove themselves before they would be considered. She laid out a whole host of things they had to do to prove they were committed to the church and Jesus....Needless to say that took care of them and they never returned. The girls refuse to go to church and one of them has since changed religions several times. What a blessing they would have been to the music, they had voices of angels! As you can plainly see these examples do represent ALL Christians, THUS Terrorist do not represent ALL Muslims. Yes there are some people who hate Americans. Those people do not represent all of the people in the country of their origin.

I think that they are jelous of our lifestyle because day to day life in thier country sucks. They are religous extremists. They really aren't that much different than people like Jim Jones and his religous cult. Or even the KKK. I'm sure not all of them are bad and are terrorists but the ones who are just want to rid the world of people that don't trust in thier religion. Isn't it kinda ironic that the area where Jesus was born is where most of the problems as far as war is concerned are coming from? Bush I think is doing what he can to get rid of the twisted terrorist. I don't like war or anything but something had to be done. Alot of the people who answered your question even don't know what they are talking about. They put down Americans by saying that we stick our noses where it doesn't belong. Well just wait until thier country gets a taste of something like what happened to us on Sept.11. I also would like to ask them why isn't thier country helping out with the war on terrorism? Is it because thier political leaders are cowards?

If u r an American I am really sorry to say or rather ask when will u grow up, when will u understand that all the Muslim in this world are not alike, not all Muslims want to kill Americans, for me I am not a Muslim, I am a Hindu and stay in India and in I ndia Muslims have no grudge over Americans.

I am a christian also but i think it is because americans wont leave them alone. Muslims have their believes and cultures and practices which they keep to themselves and their country and their people. So what if they think non-muslims are doomed. that is their belief. American on the other hand all always trying to impose their beliefs and morals and values on people who are not 'westernized' and this imposition is what i think is pissing the muslims off and making them want to kill Americans. And what we should remember is that these people (muslims) think that they are fighting a holy war, their whole belief system is based on that. Killing themselves and Americans is nothing to them infact for them that is a 'good thing' they get points with 'Allah'. Please leave them alone so they can leave us alone. The killing wont stop otherwise. Thats just my opinion.

You don't get it. First of, just because you don't think it is right to convert others/tell them their religion/beliefs are wrong, doesn't mean other christians don't. And every religion/race/group does that, not just muslims. And not all muslims are terrorists, have you ever thought that we as Americans could be interpreted as terrorists to other countries? We come in to their country and try to impose our beliefs and culture upon them, try to convert them. And not necessary do all muslims, or any other religion/race feel the need to kill Americans. And I honestly doubt they are jealous, they are happy with their lives and thats why they don't want us to come into their countries and change them. If they were jealous, woudln't they gladly accept us into their countries and eagerly await us to change them?

they truly beleive that we have caused every lousy thing that ever happened to them. And since we are infidels and going to die in the fires of damnations it is ok to just do away with us. I respect religious right but when that includes murder than that just is not ok. In there world when someone is in power and you don't like there philosiphy, you send your people to kill them and all there followers....since in america the goverment makes the decisions, then they have to kill us all when they don't like somehting our government did. They don't realize that if we started playing the game the way they do the war would be over overnight, but we have always tried to fight with honor. So that doesn't alllow us to ask people to or to drive them in to a frenzy....to kill thousands . to them this is not the only life , just the current one, where we beleive that this may be all there is. If there is always anothr life waiting who cares about this one. I think their fanatical religious beliefs make them insane. I know not all Muslims are like that but there are fanatics in every religion, I suppose. When I think of these types of Muslims, I think about the ones who justify killing women because they call it "honor" when in fact, it's just cold blooded and cowardly murder.
