Yes, breathing air that is not circulated is bad. If anyone has germs, they will stay in the air. Why is this person closing the windows? Maybe this person has allergies, an open window will aggravate the allergies. The air needs to be circulated and stale air replaced. Try a compromise, leave the window open for a while, then close it a while.
Repeat this throughout the day. Then you should both be comfortable.

Tell this person that if you suffer from a condition whereby if you don't get enough fresh air you vomit copiously! That should shut them up. I hate stale air and have the windows open all year round, even when it's snowing.

OMG that is so frustrating!!! I also work with someone who does the same thing and it drives me nuts. I simply told her to wear a sweater if she was chilly because i certainly couldn't take anything off! Stale air is not that great for you and is a breeding ground for germs.

well, the energy in the air will be 'still' and we all know fresh air is good for you. I suggest you print all your responses off and show them to the person who closes the window. if its a temperature thing, tell them to put a bloody jumper on!!!!

I hate that!! There's no need whilst it's still nice weather, I'd understand if it was freezing.
Yes it is bad for you, a constant circulation of air keeps the germs at bay.
My advice is to eat lots of garlic and beans.
Oh and spray your perfume/aftershave till they start choking.

What is the window open to? If it is car exhaust and pollution, maybe the person can't breathe BECAUSE of this. Why don't you try asking?
