A recent US News & World Reports ranks Princeton as the top school in the US. However, those rankings are not incredibly reliable -- and Harvard is almost always ranked at the top.
For undergraduate education, my personal rankings of the eight schools in the Ivy League are:
1. Harvard University
2. Princeton University
3. Yale University
4. University of Pennsylvania
5. Columbia University
6. Cornell University
7. Dartmouth University
8. Brown University
The truth is that you can't go wrong with any of them. Only a few schools not in the Ivy League rank up with them. They include Duke University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, MIT, Cal Tech and Northwestern.
See the attached links for rankings or more information on US schools.

Lockerridge: Notre Dame isn't even an Ivy League school.
There are only 8 Ivy League schools and depending on what you want to major in, they each have something to offer. Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale are the colleges of the Ivy League.
