I will try and celebrate the lives of all the dead of that day and also the thousands of other civillians that have died throughout the world (72,000) since the war on terror began.

I will vote Democrat.
I remember, I was in my office, lamenting the policies of the Republicans that were making America so reviled around the world, and hoping that I could keep my business alive for another year in the economic mess Bush&Co had sunk us, when I looked up at the TV and saw the film of the smoke coming from the first tower. I thought, "How tragic." Then I saw the second plane come in and smack the other tower and I thought/said, "Well, there's gonna be a war now."
Hurts to be right, sometimes.
That was five years ago. The mastermind behind the attack is still thumbing his nose at the efforts to capture him, and our nation is more reviled than ever.
Yes, I plan to vote for the guys who DIDN'T get us into an endless quagmire of violence attempting to impose peace in a region that has NEVER known peace.
Thanks for asking, though.

i was in Saudi Arabia then until now. Nothing to commemorate actually. I saw during 9/11/01 many people were watching a giant screen in one of the known broasted chicken restaurant in malaz district and some people were watching and happy for what happened. ( i was eating broasted chicken during that time)
today 5 years after that, i dont think there is a significant commemoration of 9/11 especially in this part of the world where
people here think US overreacted over that happening.

I was at work in Jamaica when it happened. All my family was in NY on a holiday. I was very very saddened by what happened. I think it is time we try to move on though. I dont know if being sad and reading out the names of all who died that day every year for the next 30 years will help us move on. Thats just my opinion.

I will pray for all the "left behind" family members to be able to cope well during this day. No matter what they do, they will never be able to have this day pass without all the media rubbing it in there face that there loved ones have died.

Was on business traveling - it was a mite scary, at least I was in the Midwest on that day, rented a car and was home, unlike many others. Today, I get to travel again, who ever things traveling for your job is glamorous has no idea.
