This is probably due to an automatic action such as a refresh coded into the site or page you are visiting. Some sites will refresh automatically to ensure you see the most up to date information.

Software such as Microsoft Internet Explorer will make a click sound when this automatic refresh occurs.

This is not necessarily a sign of dubious activity on your computer.

If like me you dont care about your computer making annoying sounds for this and that minor activity, you can simply disable all sounds in the Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices applet.

This will *not* disable your ability to listen to music or watch videos with sound.

Failing that I would suggest you download and use a better browser with fewer annoying 'features' like the clicks you don't like. I'd recommend Firefox:

Apart from it's many other interesting features, it doesn't click when pages are automatically refreshed :)

you proberly have a pop blocker instaleld on the machine, so every time that a pop is meant to come on your screen your pop blocker is stopping and telling u with the mouse click noise, since if your using something like internet explorer, u should notice a number increasing, u can change this noise i the settings of your popup blocker.
hope this helps
