Anything that makes money will be aired. It doesn't have to be good for children, it doesn't have to be educational, it doesn't have to make sense, but if it makes money it will be aired.

Modern entertainment is changing day by day due innovations and the society as a whole is changing an so our children also. The thought that the children should looked after alone would do to show that things might change but our affections and mind do not change from stone age till now.

What about the shirts kids are wearing these days? They all have some sort of bratty saying on them. They'd be much funnier if they weren't actually true. If that doesn't reflect a societal trend, I don't know what does.
