Can Any one tell me why does Westren Anime/Manga (Drawings) which are very good are not as good as Japanese?

When you enter DeviantArt you find Amazing Anime/Manga drawings drawn by Westren Artist but the look more like really good graphics than artistic. and when i look on Anime/Manga Drawn by Japanese artists Damn its feels different even when some times its looks far more simple then the westren ones

American cartoonists are into exaggeration, on top of that, they copy more than create. Japanese animators create and put their own imaginations to work and they take pride in art as well, and never worry about the judgment of thier work.

Expression is linked to the specific culture and times an artist lives in. Western artists have a different cultural experience and when they try imitating a Japanese technique, regardless of how good an artist's technique can be it will always look fake because it doesn't have the 'cultural spirit'. The same thing happens when Japanese artist try to copy western styles.

The best thing western artists can do is let themselves be influenced by Japanese style and create something new, which is exactly what Japanese did. They took Western comics and made it their own.

They probably have better art schools that specialize in that style of art in japan than in other places
