I really couldn't GAF but if you can't find a better way of saying it, there are several options:
1 - Say something like "Well bless me! or "Well, I never!!!" or "I'm not really bothered" (shades of Catherine Tate!) or
2 - Say nothing, or
3 - Grow up and don't use abbreviations to get out of it!

Yeah. I don't like it ....just as the OMG and LoL, awesome, hot, cute ...and others.

When people are too lazy to write, or inarticulate enough to string words together to actually 'express' something, or are unable to articulate an argument.......

Then, personally, I'd like a refund of all my taxes which were spent on the attempted 'education' of these people.

Why I get 'upset' at the use of the abbreviation is that it they (these words) are like toilet paper (or 'bathroom tissue' if you're an American), one use only and instantly disposable. They are 'throwaway lines,' they are a cul-de-sac of meaning.

Whereas, like swearing, the words had a 'power' - until they are used (too often), they are then devalued and take on the energy of a stutter.

Sash.

human beings, inclusive of me, get indignant by "yuletide" because of the fact it removes "Christ" from "Christmas", and Jesus Christ is what the holiday is all approximately. the only reason that the abbreviation has come into common use now could be with the aid of folk attempting to make it a religiously nuetral commercial holiday. It has no longer something to do with any claimed abbreviation from Greek.

As a Christian, I do not use the f-word, nor do I allow my family to use it as well. However, if someone who isn't part of my family uses it, that's fine and dandy. They're not hurting me any. They're just showing me how they poorly communicate, and have to fill in the empty spots with the filth that fills their hearts.

And, as a gamer, the acronym "WTF" carries no spiteful, hateful, or sexual connotations, as compared to "f***" all by itself, and hence I don't mind it at all. WTF feels to be more of a cry of frustration or confusion, rather than an outright epithet (which would bear the connotation innately if said in full form).

It depends in what context it is said... If it is in response to a jokey type thing then I wouldn't take it as anything but a funny response... Saying that if it were said in any other context it wouldn't really offend me anyway.

WTF does not offend me. I am more offended that someone could not be bothered to type three tiny little words and instead came up with yet another abbreviation.

I am not biased against people who use foul language. It's the foul deeds I am worried about.
