I was home, in Long Beach California and watched with horror and sadness on televison.

Although i saw it , i did not believe it, it was like a dream or movie,,,
it did not register right away, and as the days past even until today,, it hurts, and yet i do not understand all the pain as those who lost their loved ones,,

To see such pain, and terrror, and the end result is beyond words, yet , I did not suffer as many have, and i feel helpless, that i can do nothing to help, or ease tha pain

I remember exactly were I was, exactly what I was doing and I saw the second plane hit live. I will never forget and I will teach my children and if they have children I will teach them so that it will never be forgotten.

My reaction was that we were at war, I had no idea with whom but we were under attack. I was not celebrating this act of cowardice, I was angry and resolved.

What muslims can not understand is that our way of life can not be killed, our freedom can never be taken away, our love can not be removed and our anger has not even been seen as yet.

The USA was built on Christian beliefs, not religion. Our people for the most part are a Christian people, not what you see on the news. This country is still in the hands of God no matter who is in the white house, his will be done not ours or theirs.

God has blessed this country even though it seems many today would like to be as far from God as possible. If you attack Gods people you may regret what you have chosen. That goes for Israel and for the Christians in the USA.

It was my day off..I worked for a major airline and had done so for 30 years..for some strange reason I turned on the TV I think to check the weather forecast..and all this stuff was on TV..they were broadcasting from Los Angeles so I initially thought that that had been hit as well...but at first it seemed like a movie...I woke up my partner and said something like "I don't know what's happening---the world has gone mad" He got up and we sat glued to the television and then the second plane hit...and we knew it was no bizarre accident. People at work told me how lucky I was to have the day off because planes from all over the world were being diverted to Canada..with no notice and confused passengers..who had no accomodation etc..I realized when it was happening that my job would never be the same again...and it never was.....I had never imagined anyone using an airplane as a weapon. It's one of those days in history that will remain indelibly imprinted on my mind..like the day JFK was assassinated and the day Lady Diana died. We were glued to the TV all day.

Second time today for the same question.
Answers:
1: Watching it on TV as it all happened.
2: Horrified
3: Certainly NOT a cause for celebrations (except by those who organised it all)
4: Five years or not, isn't it time we all stopped remembering it and started to try and forget it?

I was on the bus and heard people talking around me: "Did you hear what happened in the States?" Then I heard what happened. People were shocked, so was I. On my way to work I met an American who was working in the building. I did not know him, he was only a familiar face, but I couldn't help stopping him to tell him how sorry I was this terrible thing happened to his country ... Later, I realized other people were also giving their condolences to the very few Americans visiting or living in our country.

I remember that night it happened. I was leaving with my friends in Lewish in Sydney. I had a really bad toothache and was on the phone to my boyfriend (at the time), it was around 11 or 12 at night. While we chatted and watching TV. The news came on with the incident. It was horrible and sad to see.

Oh yes I remember
Mans inhumanity to Man
I was furious all the innocent lives.
Oh no I was not celebrating
I thought all hell was going to break lose
But still the USA a quiet giant has not forgotten either
Neither has America's Friends in Australia

I was at my brand new job in Brighton (UK) and heard it on the radio. My friend worked in the twin towers. I ran out of my building and went to get the train to London to be with my friend, his girlfriend. It didn't occur to me that maybe I should ask permission to leave my new job, I just ran out. We were lucky, he had overslept and was walking to work when the first plane hit. It still doesn't seem real when you see it. Still get goosebumps, still want to cry.

The only people celebrating were the cowardly scum in the middle east. The rest of the world was in total shock.

I was at work, but everything seemed to just stand still.
