The shock has collapsed or the anti rollbar has gone - the bushes on the anti roll bar have broken. Could even be a snapped spring.
My husband is a self-employed mechanic and had the same thing with a v reg bmw, it turned out it was the spring, it had only snapped one though.
Good luck though, one word of advice, don't take it to the main dealer as they have a tendancy to not fix the problem and still charge you half what the cars worth to 'sort' it!
Can't you take it back to where you bought it? If its on finance through a garage, they have to repair it.

Sounds like anti roll bar / torsion bar, but could be shock absorber or springs if leaning on one side, or worn bushes
