Five points is always taken off for each question no matter what level you are at. You don't go down a level unless you ask too many questions.

IF you ever get to level 2 try it and find out, or look up the question(must have been asked every other day) and look up the answer

Yup , you can be a level 6 and go right back to level 1 if you dont keep answering questions . Or getting best answer ! It sucks huh ?
