lets say you need to create a situation where you got to remove or isolate a competitor,opponent or any other object in your way to assure a shift of balance to your favor - which fair or unfair means,intrigue or diplomatic option would you consider to use???(violence is of course out of question)

Split the public opinion of the enemy populace. Keep throwing conspiracy into the news about how their government is blowing up their own buildings and is the cause of all the deaths.
The enemy will be so busy shooting arrows into their own backs, they will collapse on their own.
