they freed her spirit from the well, if it ended there i would have got it but then she carried on killing and killed that bloke. whats the big idea

they freed her spirit but it never crossed their mind that wasn't the reason the girl was killing. it was because she's just evil. I love it when films look like they're heading for the 'hollywood' happy predictable ending and then totally throw you off. great film

It all seems to revolve around copying the tape but it still doesn't make sense. If you make a copy of the tape you survive but why that should be so is a mystery to me. Maybe the act of making the tape trapped part of her soul and each time you copy it u transfer the soul to a new tape there by rendering the first tape harmless. Or it could be the writers just didn't think it through lol.

The japanese love their horror movies to have the baddies unstoppable, the ring is a japanese movie originally and the ending is that the only way you can live is to make a copy of the tape and make someone else watch the copy, thus dooming them to be murdered! quite nasty i haven't watched a movie with friends ever since, who knows what they're up to!

Its all got to do with the tape. Whoever watches the tape dies. It has nothing to do with her spirit. If you want to live, make a copy of the tape.. then, someone else will die. Its a never ending cycle, you can't stop it.

The reason why she kept killing was because she was a vengeful ghost, they dont stop. If you look at supernatural stories that are posted everywhere check this site out.....
