Do what you want to do, don't listen to the people who tell you to grow up, get a job and all that other bull. If you want to do nothing but listen to music all day and all night, so be it.
Can I join you?

well, i'll be 34 soon and ideally that's exactly what i wanna do. *lol* i still can't think of anything more enjoyable than making a lot of noise on my guitar or being at a good concert or festival. thing is, i need a day job to support this so between nine and five a live a remarkably boring life. i've never had the courage to actually go into music in any kind of professional capacity, so i wish you luck, maybe you'll take the plunge and it'll work out for you. if it doesn't you can still lead a rocking life, dontcha worry! :-)

I'm 37. While I don't listen to Nirvana all day (or even every week) I still love to listen to those records. There's a good reason. When Nirvana came on to the music scene in 1989 I was only 20 - the age they were aimed at. So I still see them very much as MY music. The fact that 20 year olds also listen to their music doesn't make me immature (it was, as I said, my generation that first heard them), it shows just how damn GOOD the music was, how relevant it was, how powerful it STILL is.
My parents listen to shite like Cliff Richard. It's what they listened to when they were young. This does not make them immature either - it's just the music they grew up with.
You can listen to your records and you can be who you are. Just imagine what it'll be like when you're retired and listening to one of those 'Old Gold' type radio stations...'next up we have an old classic - Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Better than the bland anodyne sh!t most 'young' groups are doing.

I wouldn't think so! I know plenty of people is the thirty's and older who still listen to the same music as they did in their teens and twentys!
I'm 25 and still listent to Nirvana and a lot of other rock bands some real oldies! I cant really imagine my music taste changing so much that I wouldn't be listening to my favs no matter what age I am!
Are we expected , when we get to a certain age, to start listening to whatever music is associated with the older generation - I don't think so some how!!!!!

I love the band Nirvana and I'm already 33 yrs old, that’s why I’m using this alias, but I also love to listen to some other old stuff, like the Stone Temple Pilot, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and I sure love listening to them while on a road trip to the beach somewhere.

Yeah, if all you want to do is zone off all day with Nirvana is the soundtrack, you may want to climb out of your parents basement, go down to the Burger King, and try working for once in your miserable life.

No. Most of the people in my ward are like you. The nurses give them bedbaths & steal their loose change.
