(In a famous Hindi song, a great lyricist wrote that 'Beauty is itself present for love's punishment'.)

The reason we are hurt most by those that we love is because we care so much. It is our reaction that is the problem, not the other person's actions.

Mother Nature cares for all of her children and I think she has imposed this upon us to stop us from being in a daze of love the whole time.

The same reason why we hurt the people we love the most, if you are true to the other, then you feel free to say or do the things that hurt the other. Love is supposed to be unconditional, in that case even if you are hurt, there is still love.

Because you care most about them--> you pay more attention and give more weight to what they say (about you for example), and what they do.

You've given yourself to them in love, and you're thus emotionally exposed. You can never demand for them to respond in kind. You just show your love and hope for the best.

If other people, whom you might not love, were to say or do the same things, you wouldn't really care. That's why the opposite of love is not hate but apathy, really.

Because the things you love most are the ones you treasure dear. It definitely hurts when something you value greatly is ruined, destroyed, lost or dies. But on people? Well... we have the tendency to forgive the people who hurt us. We have the tendency to try to understand as to why they tried to hurt us. Hmmm... but yes, it hurts so bad when someone you care so much betrays you, compared to people you barely know -- like, I don't care if I lose you coz I don't even know you.

like in what case? in what way? like someone you love died? if that's the case, i guess it's really wrong and unfair to say that they hurt us the worst. that's selfish. you make it sounds like it's all about you.........I I I I I, me me me me me, my my my my my.......

it's not their mistake to leave us that way. they dont have the intention to hurt us. dont blame them for that. it's not the one that we love most who hurt us. it's the fact that we love them too much that we cant accept the fact that we will not be able to love them anymore.

the word punishment is very lethal. i dont see it as punishment---like you do something bad to God? pfff.. get real. it's just the law. it's just the way life works. people come, people go--people live, people die--people happy, people sad. the world's dualism. i mean, dude, that's life. im not happy about it too. but come on! the reason why people are happy is because they know how it feel to suffer, to be sad----vise versa. we cant just....ya know....be happy forever....cheer up. it's not the end of the world.

They do not hurt. We suffer. We expect too much from love and loved ones. But the other side can not satisfy all our psychic desires. We feel hurt. This is about universal.

Because you become more sensitive to the actions and words of those you love. You start to become more critical of them and your own actions towards them over analysing them. You start to rely on them and believe that they will never hurt you - making it all the more hurtful when they inevitably do!

Some people don't know when they're on to a good thing!....but it seems to be true that people who are physically attracted to each other are often not particularly compatible personality-wise. So, they end up hurting each other.
