Firstly, you should be really sure of what tattoo you want- it's going to be with you forever- a bit of flash might look nice (flash is the images you can browse through and choose from), but do you really want a little red devil on your wrist forever?
Also, wrists really hurt- I have my wrists tattooed and it's very painful- not recommended for a first time tattoo- I recommend the top of your arm or the forearm- they're not pain-free, no tattoo is, but they're less painful, plus you can see them yourself.
Next, you need to think of locally, or where you are willing to travel to- if you're in England, london and surrounding area- there are some exellent tattooists. My fave is Mick of shades of Gray in Hitchin, Herts- he has a website shadesofgray.co.uk- you can check out his portfoilio, and he's also good with artwork tattoos- and watercolour tattoos. Camden also has some good tattooists.
If you just want to look at images- type in Flash tattoos on google image search and it should bring up all sorts. If you just want a token tattoo- think carefully about having it in such a prominent place- likeliness is you will regret the tattoo in a few years. Avoid tribal and chinese writing- they're a fad and very dated- just like a black panther tattoo can be dated as to when they had it done.
Think about the size of the tattoo also- the wrist area is small, so you can only have a very simple tattoo- forget decent shading and complicated areas- the colour will eventually "bleed" into eachother if theyre too small.
Research your tattooists- and when you find an image you like the idea of having tattooed- wait six months. If you still want that design then go for it. I personally don't recommend getting a flash tattoo- try and get something more personal, something that is a reflection of yourself or something you care about.
PS: Please ignore people who say the tattoo will look awful when you are old. Tattoo ink has come a very very long way since the old days- and it will not become a blob on ink somewhere on your body. The only time that ink can "bleed" into itself is if the details are too small and should have been done on a larger scale. All these old people that you see with bad tattoos have this because the ink quality was low 50 odd years ago- that is not the case anymore. Look after your tattoo, always cover it in the sun with lipbalm and it will look great.

Hi, I agree with alot of people when they tell you to make sure that its something personal to you!
I have 11 tattoos and love them all, but each time i choose one, i take it away put it on my bedroom wall, office wall or as wallpaper on my phone so that i know im gonna see it every day, and after a year of looking at it, im still not bored of it, then i go for it! My first tattoo i had stuck to my school folder for 6 yrs an finally got it done wen i turned 18!!
Also find a tattooist that you are comfy with, and never be afraid to ask questions!!!! thats what there there for, and always make sure that the place is clean!!
If you feel uncomfortable or feel that something just isnt right then walk out, no-one is forcing you to be in there!!!
Be careful on your wrist, u can restrict future job oppertunities with it there!
Alot of tattooist wont do the first one on your wrist either.
I love more tattoos, they are the best thing i have ever done, and the place i go is great, in berks, i would recomend them to any one!
Just be true to you and do what makes you happy, not what you feel society wants you to do.
as for sites with pics, just choose the type of pic/drawing/passage you want, whack it into a search engine and you should be able to find what you want, print it, take it in personlise it and hey presto, there you go!!!!
Good luck with anything and if ur in the berks area and want any more info on where i go just give me a shout!!!

If you go to google and images...then type in tattoo or the image you want followed by the word tattoo...you will find tons of stuff.
That being said, when you go to the tattoo shop, the artist should have books of, not only his/her work, but other things (S)he can do or that (S)he likes.
Most tattooist are pretty good people...you can sit down and tell them where you want it and what you like and they should be able to sketch out something decent and agreeable.
Good luck and have fun.

Do a web search for tattoos on old people so that you can see what an image that you think looks good today will look on you when you are older

don't do it they look good at first but after a few years they start to fade a lot of people have to pay good money to have them removed it is also a thing that some employers discriminate against if you have one in a visible place

It will really smart on your wrist. Why Don't you get a £50 note tatooed on your bum, then you can watch your money grow as you get older.
