I sent my invention to a company, paid tons of money and they have not done anything with it. At this point they have not returned my calls and I'm afraid they can take my rights to my product away. I need to pay them some more money for the patent but they will not send me the forms, I call and they say they either sent them already or they are going to. Help My entire savings plus my kids savings are in danger. My invention is a sure thing if I can get it away from this company.

you are a fool

you're supposed to get a lawyer to help you get the patent and then approach companies

they now have your invention and your money

better luck next time

i bet you didnt copyright anything before you shelled out all of that money did you? by copyright, i mean mail your self a copy of the plans for your invention that you had notarized and dated, have copies made of checks and any correspondence between you and them.
they propabably told you that you dont or didnt need a patent attorney that they will take care of everything, didnt they?
been there done that, they want the money so they can get everything and make it like they are the ones that came up with the idea and you are the one paying for it. not sure who you went thru, but my first step was going thru inventors helpline.com
after 3 years and a bunch of money, i still cant get any answers. i started doing some research on patents etc after i paid them the money and found out that my idea/invention cannot be patented, BUT can be listed as "trade secrets" and when i hit them with this newsflash of what i had discovered, is when they stopped any and all correspondence with me.

Contact a patent attorney to see what your next best step is -- any practicing attorney has more than likely assisted people in your shoes before.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

One of my mother's friends did this... Hate to tell you but she soaked her money into a 'sure thing' invention.. then more money.. and more after that. They would give tidbits of progress in way of forms, etc. After TWO YEARS of this, they inform her that the product had already been invented and patented 3 years ago.

She lost a LOT of money.
