Yes the 'Colds' season is here once again. I was at the doctors last week and my poor doctor was struggling to cope with his cold whilst seeing patients at the same time.
If you can't get to the shops just now, a tried and tested method is put some Vick Vapour Rub into a glass bowl and pour very hot water over it (minding not to scold yourself of course).
Put your head over the bowl, covering your head with a towel, inhale the vapour for as long as is bearable. Then take a Lemsip powder or capsule. It will give you a few hours respite of a bunged up nose and some relief of other cold symptoms such as sneezing and sore throat.
Then go to bed with a hot water bottle and a good slug of whisky!
You'll be as right as rain in no time.
EDIT If the sinusitus continues after the cold has gone try vitamin C supplement and garlic.

You could have an allergy. If so, you need to take some kind of antihistamine regularly, like every day. It may be seasonal, but discuss this with your doctor. Allegra 180 is good for me, but you have to get a prescription. Sudafed over the counter is only about 10 mg. a low dose, because of the potential of making drugs from the ingredients.
So, you really need to go to your doctor and get a prescription. He also may refer you to an allergy specialist to do more testing. If it is allergic condition in your nose, then you might want to do some allergy testing. If you have a cat, or dog recently, bird, etc., this can also cause wheezing, and all that other stuff. Good luck. If the wheezing is in your chest, then you want an X-Ray. If the wheezing is in your nose, it is probably an allergy. It could also be whatever is in the air around where you live. Vitamin C might help build up your resistance and a regular vitamin every day. Get some mint tea, it is a hot tea, and put lemon plus honey, and drink it every day. It helps to pull the toxins out of your body. I was told to do this when I was taking Radiation for cancer, everyone sat and drank it in the support groups. I have been cancer free 20 yrs. Dust your room regularly, and wash your sheets, as dust mites live in the sheets and people are very allergic to them. They live off your shedded skin, so wash your sheets at least every week.

Poor you! The steam suggestion is good - you can add a drop of Olbas Oil to the water to help to clear the tubes. Then a nice healthy diet - lots of fresh fruit and veg, Echinacea, and fresh clean air - to help ward off further infections by boosting your immune system.

I take generic Claritin ( get it from Sam's Wholesale Club really cheap) every night.
I also take 2 capsules of Grape Seed Extract (WalMart) twice a day if I have symptoms.
I have really seen a difference.

any over the counter antihistamine product like sudafed or contac should do the trick if it is a cold---but it could be allergies, this is the month for most of them and if that is what it is you will need to see an allergist to get a script, an rx, perscription. get will soon!

In breakfast, go ahead and ingest orange juice. But throughout other day, focus on water rather than juice or soda

Try this, it worked for me.
Close one nostril and take a deep breathe and breathe out from the other.Alternate breathing in on each nostril.
Keep doing that for about 5 Min's and you will feel your sinus clearing up.
