You can't even read them most of the time! Why do they bother having them?

I've often wondered that myself. I'll be watching something on TV and wonder what actor played what part and I'll try to find it in the credits and you can't even see them. They have to have them to show who did what for the production of the show. I've gotten where if I really want to know something if it's a movie, I'll zoom and pause so I can see. If it;s on TV, I'll tape it and try to pause it so that I can read them.

This problem has gotten worse through the years. If they are going by too humanly fast to read, then they may as well not run them at all. I'm one of the "few" who like to read about people who put so much time into a project. Thank goodness much of the info is on the internet, these days! One other thing that I'll mention is that I think the channels are trying to cram one show into the next by ending and starting them at the same time. I'm sure the bottom line is probably more time for advertising! UGH! OK, that's my humble opinion!

They have to run them to give credit for everyone involved in making the movie or tv show, but...

Do YOU read them? I know I don't!! I think they do it so fast because people are just not interested in who did the make-up, or who was behind camera number 2!!

Because they must credit all of the people that did any small thing for the film or show, but few people are really interested in them and it would prolong the movie or show too much.

There must be some kind of rule that requires the TV station to show the credits, but there must not be a rule on how slow they need to show it. In other words, it's stupid.
