Yes, he's either still obsesssed with Diana, or is just in there to make more money. Either way, it's time he bowed out; he WAS Diana's butler, she died 9 years ago, he's already told his story, let those who are left behind, ie., her sons and ex-husband, get on with their lives in peace. Nobody should try to live in the past and he has nothing to do with the Princes now; whatever thoughts he has are best kept to himself.

Upon Diana's death PB proclaimed his loyalty to her and swore that he would protect her memory. Surely the best thing to have done was to maintain a dignified silence on all things 'Diana' and gained not only her sons respect BUT the nations. Sadly like many PB has melted under pressure from the media to tell all to the press (books TV magazines AND newspapers) - I just want to know WHAT made him go back on his word - I thought he was a gentleman!! Sadly ,us lesser mortals are blessed (in most cases) with better behaved friends, colleagues and family who would treasure our memories and not keep talking about our private lives to anyone and everyone ANd that means our kids could hold us in their hearts without the media sullying memories of a much loved mother.

Definitely!
He has lost all the inital respect he had in being the one person not talking about her and turned himself into a "pantomine dame"! Judas sold out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, but at least that was only 1 of the disciples, poor Diane, with the exception of Wills and Harry, everyone from the top down seems to have cashed in on her.

I'm all for free speech.
Shows up people for the twits they are when they're obviously in need of a little extra cash.
Why this man expects these two sons to idolise Diana in the same stalker like way he does I'll never know.
He's always been a little odd and now he's obviously broke and bitter as well.

Because he is making too much money. Princess Di's death was the best thing to happen for him. Despite the time that has elapsed since her death she still keeps appearing in the papers and on the news and provides him with an easy pension. He has no morals and his ego is getting as big as his bank balance. He should be thrown in the Tower or even better beheaded.

Maybe he really is the one that knew the real Diana. The boys were very young when she died & probably don't remember much more than the public face of their mother.
After being accused of the theft of some of her personal belongings, & being exhonerated of all charges, maybe he is due some compensation, by way of royalties for the book, for having his good name dragged through the mud.
I do not believe that she was the Angel she was portrayed as by the media.

Because he is a sleazoid who makes money out of dishonouring the memory of someone who is dead and disrespecting her children.
I don't give a toss that she was a Royal. There are certain conventions in society and dishonouring dead people and their living children (who I imagine went through hell at losing their mum so suddenly and must still miss her terribly) is NOT cool, whoever they were!
I think the Queen should get the SAS to quietly "silence" him, hehehe!

At first I was sympathetic to his plight and felt that the royal family had treated him badly however after reading his first book I felt that things where not quiet as he made them to be. He contradicted himself time and time again in that book and once he appeared on reality TV that put my seal on him a money grabbing sleaze bag who uses the name of Diane for his own personal gain. Now this new book which I have not read and have no intentions of ever reading to line his pocket it appears he went round taking photographs AFTER she died of her rooms. Well how much proof does anyone need?

He was important once, and now he want to make money by selling his soul to the devil. He just makes himself look a fool. He is a loan voice: no one else is backing up his claims.
