Because that was the name of the trashy bestseller on which the movie of the same name was based. Don't know if Prada paid for a product placement in the novel. The "devil" in the title is pretty obviously Miranda, the boss-lady, who inflicts such misery on her employees.

prada has a very sleek edge, and previously catered more to the working world and middle -age folks only, until their new designer stepped up the funk. so, in this movie, they chose prada for its sleekness, its classic business-woman spunk. which is perfectly appropriate to describe meryl streep's character.

Because the pope wore red prada shoes in his innaugural. Its true and when i told my friend who's a catholic (i'm one too), he stopped going to see it. I just made my assumption, its very coincidental but lost of folk here make it as if i meant to accuse the pope of some wrong doing. NOt true.
