I do tarot card readings...I'm real, I charge 5.00 but free for friends, and curious people like you...I stress the positive, and don't use reverse cards, which can reverse the meaning...I even have a listing at ebay...5.00 cheap, but good

There are people out there who make use of the psychic abilities that we all have, but are not tuned into.
Telling someone's fortune is possible, but difficult, as the most seemingly insignificant change in events events can change your possible future.
By all means, go to a psychic (I have many times with astounding results), but keep an open mind. Something that seems of no consequence at the time may pop up in the future, and give you a 'hmmmmmmm' moment, so take notes for future reference if you do go, but remember that the future is not set in stone.
Hope this helps,
Gently

I believe there really are fortune tellers. I think the guy you just talked about might be one considering the fact that maybe he thought that the consequenses of telling you your fortune is worse than the "fortune" itself. Because you might do a preemptive move which could result in a greater conflict.

fortune telling is an industry. i guess it can be fun to listen stories about the future. its even normal not to lose completely our faith. some say that the archaic beliefs are corelated with the degree of industralisation and the level of technicity on the area. other say that these are the elements that make us being blind to the supernatural... i dont believe in fortune telling and i never met one capable really to impress me. yes i got several times general truth ansers that are ok for everybody

I don't think so, at least not the ones who advertise themselves as fortune tellers. You might want to read this article on "cold reading." It tells you how fortune tellers do what they do.
http://www.skepdic.com/coldread.html
After reading it, go visit a fortune teller and see how many cold reading techniques you can spot.

You will meet a stranger who is very kind.
A close friend will tell you something very important.
You will be thinking of a new job, take it.
Health issues will come up with a family member.
Just joking , no they aren't real.

No, they are all fakes. If any one of the actually had the ability to predict any kind of future wouldn't they just use it to their advantage and become very wealthy??? Its all fake and anyone who believes this junk deserves to be bamboozeld.
