and also, if your born blind, wont that suck cause if anyone tries to describe anything to you, you wont ever know how it really looks like, for example, how are you supposed to know color?

what a blind person sees depends on a great many things...
if the person is cortically blind, which means there are eyes are undamaged but the part of the brain which processes visual information is damaged may see at differeing levels depending on how much damage the brain has received.
a person with cortical blindness may see hazy, grey blurs, they may recognise one or two colours, they may see quite well one day and see nothing the next... they may only have light perception
if a person's eyes are removed or completely unable to receive visual information it is common for them to (see )perceive a white wall... or light....
if their blindness is caused by a degenerative condition their sight will fade off over time.. but their brain will remember what they used to see...
when dealing with people who are blind don't keep correcting your langauge by replacing words and phrases that we use in every day language such as "I see", or "Oh look!" you will onlyembarass yourself and them by stopping yourself from speaking naturally... Blind people can understand the concept of sight even if they have never had any sight...
I hope this helps...

If i was blind since birth, I think i'll see everything black
If i was blind because of an accident, i think i won't see anything, but my mind will tell me how does that certain thing look like. For example, i can't see a ball with eyes, but my mind picture it out for me to sense it, because i've seen it b4.
N, maybe i'll dream alot,too LoL

if u wanna know what does a blind see, tie a cloth on your eyes and try to walk in your room. you would be able to make an immgination about all. but a bild person does not know about the world so his immagination would be totally different from you as he has no idea how does the thigs look alike. his immagination would depend upon whatever he has heard about it.

interesting question! i used to think about these kinda stuff too. lol. until my brain got fried and dulled with too much studying. anyways, i guess they see what their imagination wants them to see, also coupled with their emotions, intuition, instincts and other senses like sense of touch and hearing.. i would think their other senses would be more acute than e average person's, and maybe they help to form some sort of vague interpretation or blurred images or sth.

I would guess that it's just blackness, although some people who are legally blind can see faint amounts of light or even shapes, they just can't focus on them.
