What are the most important qualifications I need to have if i need to progress as an IT Consultant in th UK.
I am about to take a MSc. course in IT Management. Will it aid my getting a good job?. Or should I just take professional certifications like MCSE, CCNA and others

Depending on your career ambition. Here are some questions to consider. Are you interested in doing IT work versus becoming part of a management team? Are you interested in a particular sort of company? The more “prestigious” the company, the more valuable the education is (not only the degree but also the school you chose).

If you have an MSc you will often be automatically be recognised by the relevent Professional body, for example.

My hubby has an MSc in quality management and was therefore granted full membership to the relevent institutes without further study.

definately, a Msc is much better than just certs as that requires much more intellect power to complete.
