When faced with a person who is in a position of authority but their lack of intelligence affects your life?

in a negative way, how do you deal with it? Assume you are being tested and theyre actually more intelligent than they let on?; but then that's also kind of a catch-22

It depends on what your definition of the word authority is.

A parent may be in a position of authority, but that doesn't mean they have full authority and control over a minor.

Sometimes they fail in that authority (i.e.dishing out bad advice, which is very damaging).

Authority figures usually are hollow individuals because they never own up to their decisions, they always have a way to weazel out.

Knowing as much, no authority figure has any stature.

I find more intelligent people in the masses than on the top of the heap.

Whenever an opportunity comes up to trick an authority figure, I take it. They lead us like sheep to slaughter.

Jobs are hard to find, so until you can find another one do your best and stick to it in this way: If the less intelligent person is really less intelligent, his/her boss will eventually notice and you will be promoted past him/her. If it is a trick by your boss, then he/she will notice your good performance and you will be rewarded for that. Otherwise, you may be working for a psychic vampire. In that case, your only option is to get the hell out of there!

No intelligent person acts dumb, so forget that.
If you are more intelligent, then you must have patience and tolerance with the lesser intelligent.
