well we always used to "do our homework" so i would go for that

DOing HOMEWORK includes WRITING it.....
also:
WRITE HOMEWORK usually is what teachers tell their students at school....meaning copy the homework from the board...or whatever

We use the phrases "do your homework" "I did my homework", "I need to do my homework." etc.

We never say "Write my homework." We would say "Write a term paper".

This it true both in spoken and written english.

'Do homework' because homework does not necessarily include writing. Eg, it may be to read a chapter of a book.
