Permanent solutions to mouth ulcers do not exist.

When you do get them though there are some reasons why and knowing the causes may help you avoid them or get rid of them.

Stress due to exhaustion, lack of sleep or emotional difficulties can wear down the balances in your body making it vulnerable to infections and sores. If this is the cause you need to get your rest. But it has to be proper sleep - not alcohol induced sleep.

Mouth ulcers can also rise due to an increase in sugary snacks. Cut back on refined sugar in your diet. If you need something sweet drink a pure fruit juice drink (without sugar) or eat a piece of fruit.

To heal ulcers in any case - you need to swish hot salt water around in your mouth. Do it about 5 times when you do it and make sure the salt water is really getting into the ulcer - swish it well! You may need to repeat this for a couple of days - but it does work!

Don't put irritating foods in your mouth or smoke or dip tobacco.
Use Colgate's Peroxyl mouth rinse.
Dissolve 1-2 DGL tablets (Health food stores have them) in your mouth 3-4 times daily as needed
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Nutritional deficiencies aggravate canker sore situations.

One reason could be that you have dry mouth...does your mouth feel dry most of the time? if so, try both toothpaste and mouthwash made for dry mouth...I've been using Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash for over 6 months and it helps a little...but first maybe you should ask your dentist or doctor about this; there are different types of ulcers or sores and they may be able to pinpoint the type of ulcer or sore it is and help with a solution..the dry mouth is just one answer; could be other reasons you have these..........
