my pc,Via C3, 1 g, 256 sd ram, 10 g. H.D. Button battery (CR 2032). it so annoying doing the adjustment of date and time everytime i open my pc.

Its not the battery problem...its due to some cmos mismatch or run time eroor that occurs every time you boot up.....i hapens when your bios tries to compare the codes with those of the cmos from the previous bootup...if you be more specific...i may be of help...or try contacting a programmer...

The CMOS battery has died and needs to get replaced. this is a coin sized battery this is on the motherboard. turn off your workstation and unplug it from the wall outlet. stick to the instructions to your form and form to take the area panel off the case. you will discover the battery on the motherboard. this is silver in colour and glossy. replace it with the comparable or equivalent battery and the errors message will end. Edit: Oh, wait this may well be a computing gadget... nicely comparable theory. study the instruction manual on the thank you to interchange the CMOS battery.

I've had systems that showed false error messages like that after I'd simply changed a BIOS setting.

Is there also a message that says:

"Press [key] for default"

...where "key" is the name of a key (e.g. F1)? If so, try pressing that key; the system may then reboot normally.

may its time for changing ur pc... i think that pc is an old one
