I was in 4th grade, and I was in math class at my elementry school. The day was a normal day: My teachers lecturing, the recess activities, and everything. We hadnt recieved any information. So then, on the school bus home, me and my friend overheard some talking, but we didnt know what was happening. Then, at home, I learned the news: The planes crashed into the twin towers and the pentagon. At first, me being an idiot 9 year old, wondered what the big deal was if no one died. I was badly scolded and told over 1100 people died in the tower. then, 180 people died in the pentagon. Thats when I realized it was of serious importance.

I was on my way to work...Running late as usual when the radio station broke the news. The station I was listening to was known for pranks and false news alerts. So I started changing the stations on the car radio and the news was on every channel. I parked and walked a block to work, got in the elevator talked to the guy in there about what I had heard. I walked into the office and told my boss. He thought I was lying. So I turned on my radio and cranked the volume. Then I went into his office and turned on the t.v. and not too much longer we saw the second plane hit. Then he believed me.
I spent the rest of the day trying to get a hold my sister because she was supposed to take a friend to see the WTC that day. They didn't make it because they decided to that the next day.

I was awakened by the phone at 3 am (in Japan) and I picked up the phone and cussed the person on the other end out... (I'd had a bad day before and not sleeping well) well, it was my husbands Chief, and he said "I understand your feelings, ma'am, but you need to turn on the TV, NOW. And tell your husband to get into uniform"
I thought it was like "War of the Worlds" just a program that was being advertised... I just did not believe it until they came and picked up my husband...

Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September Day?? I still get chills. I was watching Seasame Street with my son when my sis called me and said a plane ran into the tower. Watching on tv for the rest. Talked to my family alot and baked like crazy. 5 loaves of bread 2 batches of cookies and a sloppy pineapple cake. We ate good. Also around 5 pm (CST) I took my neighbors car for gas so she could go to work. I live in a town that is a whopping one mile long. Had to go past one gas station past the other one at the other end of town. turn around and park on the shoulder infront of the second gas station (it was closed and out of gas) and parked on shoulder for 45 minutes to wait and get gas. And our apartments and the gas station share a back yard...just no road.

I was asleep in Australia but I saw it on tele the next morning, I was in year nine. We had to go to school and then we had an assembly about it. Then we watched it on tele that night. The Australian Prime Minister John Howard was in America at the time and had to be flown home in a fighter jet. Vroooom.

I was in a dead sleep - my tv was on - and I woke up just after the first plane hit the WTC. I thought I was dreaming. I didn't move from the tv for almost a week.

I was actually on my way home, and over the radio, it didn't seem to be a big deal.
Then when I got home and saw it on TV, I saw what really happened.. so I gues I had a delayed reaction!
