It depends on the e-mail address. Some Korean e-mail addresses may have the .kr, but many do not. For instance, www.daum.net in Korea is equivalent to www.yahoo.com and they have a free e-mail service. Their e-mail addresses have the format user@hanmail.net. You should find out the e-mail address from your recipient.

Most Korean websites end in "co.kr" instead of ".com".

For example, if you wanted to type in the Korean google, then you would type in

www.google.co.kr

So for e-mail, it would be:

johnsmith@yahoo.co.kr
